A.4 SUBMITTALS
A. Submit under provisions of UFC/UFGS Section 01-300-02 – Administrative Requirements.
B. Product Data: PolySorb’s and manufacturer’s technical data sheets for each product to be used, including:
1. Accurate measuring and storage instructions
2. Handling requirements
3. Recommended cutting and preparation instructions
4. Installation techniques, methods and cleaning suggestions
C. Product Drawings: See perforation schematics per product type.
D. Product Samples: Representative color samples of PolySorb’s full range of available colors and thicknesses.
E. Verification Samples: For each product specified, 4” x 4” samples representing actual product, color, and thickness.
A.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Manufacturer and Distributor’s Qualifications: Minimum of 10 year experience manufacturing and distributing PolySorb products.
B. Installer Qualifications: Suggest a minimum of 2 years experience installing PET products.
C. Conceptuals: Provide accurate concepts of proposed installations for evaluation of surfaces, preparation techniques and application workmanship.
1. Finish areas as designated by Architect and/or Engineers.
2. Do not proceed with installation until color and workmanship is approved by lead.
3. Confirm consistency of panel to panel color before installation. Identify front surface, back surface, and fiber direction before and during installation for accuracy and consistency.
4. Refinish concept area as needed to produce acceptable work.
A.6 PRE-INSTALLATION MEETINGS
A. Meet and coordinate at least 2 weeks before installation work begins.
A.7 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
A. Have product delivered and stored in a dry location in unopened PolySorb packaging showing the PolySorb label until ready for inspection and installation.
B. Do not compress, bend or damage edges of product or package during storage.
C. Keep covered, clean, dry and away from odors.
D. Avoid excessive handling. Handle materials only when ready for inspection and installation.
A.8 PROJECT CONDITIONS
A. For the most successful results, try to maintain consistent environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within PolySorb’s recommended limits. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside of recommended limits.
A.9 COORDINATION
A. Ensure that products are supplied to installers/trades on time to prevent any interruption of construction progresses or damage to PolySorb panels and mounting systems.
A.10 EXTRA STOCK
A. Provide an extra quantity equal to 2% of total final installation or a minimum of two cartons of each type.

3.1 EXAMINATION
A. Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared and cured.
B. If substrate preparation is the responsibility of a different installer/company, notify Architect of any unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding with installs.
3.2 PREPARATION
A. Clean and dry all surfaces thoroughly prior to any installation.
B. Prepare surfaces using PolySorb’s recommended methods to achieve the best results for the
substrate under the project conditions and environment.
3.3 INSTALLATION
A. Locate system in accordance to the final plan set and/or elevations. Install PolySorb panels only in designated and approved locations. Follow all PolySorb installation recommenda- tions. Align panels accurately, with edges plum, top edges level and correct side out.
B. Install panels to construction tolerance of plus or minus 1/8” for the following:
1) Plumb and Level
2) Surface/face flatness
3) Joint gaps
C. Cutting Panels: Make field cut edges the same profile as the factory cut edges.
Make sure work surface is clean and debris free.
D. Fit panels in place, taking care to not damage edges or cause other defects detrimental to appearance and function.
E. Install Panels: Work on a clean, level and prepared surfaces, in uniform plane, and free from twist, warp, and dents.
F. Install panels using recommended and approved adhesives, mechanical fasteners, or our patented PETClips, to walls and ceilings as directed. If you are using a suspension system,
blocking or furring may be necessary.
3.4 TOLERANCES
A. Maximum variation from flat and level surface: 1/8” in 10’.
B. Maximum variation from plumb of suspension system caused by loads: 2 degrees.
3.5 PROTECTION
A. Protect prepared and installed panels until project is completed.
B. Touch-up, repair or replace damaged panels before sign off.
